Angie's first self published book "Cub's Wish" was launched on January 18, 2017. She instantly became a #1 Hot New Release, and an Amazon best seller. Amazon sold out of her books, due to high demand, on her first day. The book also reached the top 3000 of ALL 11 million+ Amazon books, ranking a debut at #2,767.

Angie’s very first podcast appearance happened in February of 2018 with the #1 iTunes rated podcast Reading With Your Kids, hosted by Jedlie, which introduced Cub’s Wish to the masses of families and new readers.

Cub’s Wish was enjoyed by the newscasters at ABC7 News in Los Angeles.  So much so that Angie was requested to mentor and assist one of the anchors on their book project.  Local children’s stores and boutiques invited Angie to do Author events.  The first being Children’s Orchard in Torrance.

In March of 2017 Cub's Wish earned its first 5 star review apart from Amazon, from Reader's Favorite, followed by Barnes & Noble’s on line store and GoodReads.  The positive reviews paved the way for Angie to go for more.

Schools and private groups started to reach out and invite Angie to speak to their groups about her early journey on becoming a writer, and where to find motivation.  The presentation of Cub’s Wish, along with discussing how to wish from the heart and share your kindness, was received with positive responses. Audiences consisted of children in pre-school through middle grade with classes of 5 students to 300, as well as special needs groups to Girl Scout troops. Angie ended the month of March 2017 by reading Cub’s Wish to the Local Kiwanis Club and spoke about the importance of reading to children

In May of 2017, Cub's Wish received its first book awards: an Honorable Mention from the Paris Book Festival, and an Honorable Mention from the San Francisco Book Festival.

In June of 2017 Cub's Wish received First Place in the Picture Book Category, in the distinguished Purple Dragonfly Awards sponsored by the top rated magazine for Educators and Librarians, Story Monsters Ink.  Cub's Wish also received an Honorable Mention from the New York Book Festival.  In this same month, Cub’s Wish achieved Best Seller status from Pipe & Thimble Bookstore, the first bookstore to carry the book.  The book continued as best selling children's book for 3 consecutive months.

July brought a 5 star rating and a feature spot from the book review site Authors Talk About It, and Honorable Mentions from the Pacific Rim Book Festival and the Hollywood Book Festival.  Children's Book Publishing named Cub's Wish one of the Top 10 Books that teach kindness to children.

The fall months were filled with great accolades!   As a Back to School event, Pretend City Children's Museum in Irvine, CA invited Angie to be a guest reader for their audience of  kindergartners.  With her panda mascot by her side, she entertained the families with a reading and craft that has earned her a repeat invitation and a space on their bookstore shelf.

October 2017 started with the good news of Cub's Wish winning the Author's Talk About It (ATAI) Book Cover Contest, receiving hundreds of votes and won by 58% of their readership. Angie showcased her book at The Orange County Children’s Book Festival, one of the largest children’s book festivals in the west, and was invited to read her book on the event’s stage. Angie has been invited to attend and read at the event for 3 successful years and will appear again in 2020.

November brought more good news for Cub’s Wish with a First Place award in the children’s book category through ATAI and a First Place award in the coveted Royal Dragonfly Book Awards through Story Monsters Ink.  Cub's Wish was also honored by being a Certified Good Read through ReadingWithYourKids.com

Angie ended the first busy year with invitations to participate with her panda mascot in Holiday Parades: The City of San Pedro Holiday Parade and The Redondo Beach, Riviera Village Holiday Stroll Parade.  Stores along the parade routes stocked Cub's Wish and advertised for Angie in support of her appearance in the parades.  Angie, along with her panda mascot, has since appeared each year as the starting guest in the Riviera Village Holiday Stroll Parade.

2018 started out with flying colors! To celebrate the first year of Cub's Wish in print, Angie launched the e-book version on Amazon and it quickly hit the #1 best seller spot, and #1 Hot New Release.  The e-book received a second place award in the Purple Dragonfly contest through Story Monsters Ink.

In this year, Angie was a guest on several podcasts and live radio shows, talking about her writing journey and spreading motivation to future writers.  The Torrance cable show Faces of Torrance, did a feature episode of Angie and her journey (now on Youtube).   Voyage L.A. also did an on-line magazine feature of Angie in their December issue.  Blessings kept coming! Her appearance on the Author's Show podcast lead to the achievement of the award “2018 Top Female Author” in the Children's Book category, as well as winning a spot in the Author's Show  50 Writers You Should Be Reading book. Yet there was another great end to a very full year.  Angie sits on the board of The Children’s Book Writers of Los Angeles, CBWLA. The group collaborated on a novel comprised of 23 authors, all writing a chapter for a single middle-grade story.  The Grand Prize was won for Kayla Wayman - Junior Time Traveler, Lost in the Stream, in the Royal Dragonfly Contest. Angie contributed a chapter dedicated to her hometown of Hollywood.

Angie was recognized and invited to sit on the board of Reading Is Fundamental (RIF)– So Cal.  As a representative of RIFSoCal, Angie shares her story at under-served schools and provides new books to children to promote early childhood literacy .

2019 started out with great vision.  Angie wanted her book to be shared worldwide. Through requests and suggestions from readers, Cub's Wish was translated to Spanish - El Deseo de Osito, and French- Le Souhait du Bebe Panda.  Both versions launched quickly to Best Seller status in their international children’s book categories on Amazon.  The Beula Remer Legacy - a book service for the visually impaired, picked up Cub’s Wish to have printed in Braille.  Something Angie set as a goal since working with blind students in her early college days.  In the summer, the Italian version was launched - Il Sogno di Cucciolo, and again achieved a Best Seller rating.

Angie's main wish was to make it in the mainstream.  In October of 2019 her wish came true when the nation’s largest bookstore chain, Barnes and Noble, showcased Cub’s Wish for their shelves in Huntington Beach CA,  Torrance CA,  and Boston MA.  Large and festive Cub’s Wish events and book signings took place at each location bringing in families from the regions. Angie sold out of store stock at each venue, totaling over 75 books combined, along with several back orders.  She has since been invited to return to the Barnes and Noble Author Convention, included among top New York Times Best Selling Authors and Award Winning Writers.  The success of the events prompted other book stores to take on Cub’s Wish for both physical and online sales.

The new decade started hopeful.  In January Cub’s wish was picked up by the YouTube shows Uncle Mike Reads and Kid Time Story Time, showcasing the message of the story through puppets and entertaining renditions for the young readers.  Angie was invited to return for her third appearance on the podcast Reading With Your Kids for the books 3 year anniversary.

In February of 2020, Cub’s Wish was accepted in to one of San Francisco’s Largest indie bookstores Alexander Book Publishers.  but this was the last of any public appearance, due to the pandemic that took over the world.

In April of 2020, Angie read Cub’s Wish on the internationally broadcast Once Upon a Story Time, hosted by Caren Glasser, and brought in over 18 thousand views. With the world now turning to  virtual events, Angie spent the spring and early summer speaking to over 60 class rooms of children through Zoom and sharing ways to make wishes come true.

2021 started on a positive note.  The Las Vegas Barnes and Noble picked up Angie's books for their shelves.  This makes the 3rd state and 5th store that carries Cub's Wish!

The Pandemic took it's toll on personal visits to schools and stores once again.  The year was filled with virtual school visits and online festivals.

2021 closed out with the launch of Ang Hiling Ni Cub, the Tagalog version of Cub's Wish on October 18th, and made it to Amazon's  #1 New Release and Best Seller in its categories.
